So What Are We Doing To For The Youth?
As adults it is essential to know where we stand when it concerns our youth. If you were to sit and ask them what they have learned, they would be able to give you a general description of: corruption, violence, double-standards, contradictions and reality tv…and guess where they got it from? Need a minute?
Today’s youth is a makeup of the corruption, violence, double-standards and contradictions that we have instilled in them. Using our higher powers and authority, we have misrepresented what it is we really want for their lives today. We work in institutions where it is our responsibility to instill values, morals and guidance…instead we misuse that authority to rape their minds and in some instance their bodies. Then wonder why they are incorrigible and what has happened to make them that way…It’s simple…we happened! And if that isn’t enough we have our children tune in nightly to more corruption and bullshit on the airwaves…We continue to rape and violate their young minds with shit…our shit…
We design groups for them to join to empower their minds and instead we corrupt them…We not only misguide them, we act selfishly on our own accord and build an army of misguided, misrepresented, violent beings to run this nation when it is their time…Then we sit back in our glass houses and wonder why the youth is the way that they are today…Yeah, we’re supposed to set examples and the only ones we set are in alignment of a double-standard, or better yet more contradictions…
We teach them, and just when we have used them up, we pass them through the system as though we’ve done a thorough job. Speak to half of the youth today and there is a sordid story to tell, full of corruption, sex, violence…but the question? Can they read? Can they formulate a solution for problems? Do they understand the content they have been given? Are we even teaching them how to resolve conflicts when they arise? I bet you can answer that one. Children can tell you the name of a ringtone quicker than they can say their alphabet. And we think that is so cute! A child of two will curse quicker than the parent, and once again….”oh little Timmy is talking that is so cute!” So we encourage and even reward bad behavior. Then when all else fails we throw our hands up and confess that we have done all we could to raise our children…
So What Are We Doing To For The Youth? Are we providing them with the proper tools to ensure they are productive, sound and happy citizens, or are we turning our backs to the corruption and violence and destruction we have caused? They’re yours, they’re mine, they’re OURS, and it is our responsibility to ensure that the childhood we have stripped from them is given back before it is too late. Let me tell you if we don’t stop the madness now, we’ll have a young nation of lost souls roaming around. A nation we paved the way for but were too ignorant to see. Yeah we need to become that “village” once again that raised the children. Not the “village” that fed them to the wolves.
